Iconise an emblematic German photography brand by embodying its unique philosophy: the art of focusing on what truly matters.
In a world of photography dominated by smartphones, Leica intends to maintain its superiority by reaffirming its heritage and the ultimate quality of its products, which reflect its unique philosophy: “Das Wesentliche.”
“Das Wesentliche” is the art of focusing on the essential—what makes sense, what has value, what remains when everything else has been stripped away. ZAKKA was tasked with encapsulating this philosophy in a visual universe.
For the agency, this involves four areas of identity reworking.
Clarity: Getting to the heart of the matter means making the content readable. This implies high standards in language, form, and editorial or creative choices.
Simplicity: Remove rather than add. Reject noise, packaging, and unnecessary embellishments. In design and visuals, this means seeking a functional and aesthetic balance.
Intention: The essential is not what happens by accident, but what is deliberate, targeted and right. It is about conveying meaning and authenticity.
Responsibility: In an oversaturated world, focusing on the essential is an act of sobriety – ecological, intellectual and emotional. That applies as much to creation as it does to corporate communication.
