The French Energy Regulation Commission wants to modernize GRDF. The challenge: differentiate the brand from its parent company Engie, formerly GDF-Suez, to make the energy market more understandable to the French public.

ZAKKA breathes new life into gas by designing the new visual identity for GRDF, France’s leading natural gas distribution network operator.

More visible and recognizable to all, the logo reaffirms GRDF’s core business and reflects the company’s new project. Open and fluid, it evokes the movement of a company that serves people and looks to the future. The gradient from blue to green symbolizes the energy transition and the shift to renewable energy. The orange hyphen that underlines the logo recalls the color of the new Gazpar smart meter and the link between the customer and the distributor.
